Nine weeks ago, my wife and I celebrated the birth of our first child ‘Tahlula’, and what an amazing experience it has been so far. Every day she teaches us something new and is developing and changing at an unfathomable pace! So many people told us at the start to “treasure every second as they grow up so fast!” and even six weeks in I can see that to be so true. Fatherhood has been the most wonderful experience for me so far, and my wife has become an amazing mother, just so natural and I’m so proud of her. Each day I am so excited coming back from work; when she looks back into my eyes and smiles it really is an unbelievable feeling!
Since this monumental life changing event, it has really made me think about my personal financial priorities and the main part of that for me is protecting what I have, as none of us know what is around the corner of life. Luckily, I am well positioned to be able to help myself in this area, but this hasn’t always been the case and a few years ago, if I had needed certain protection insurances, I would have genuinely wanted to find someone like me to help.
How we at Cathedral Wealth Management differ from some other financial firms, is that we will not sit across the table and try and ‘sell’ you something. Metaphorically speaking, I like to sit on the same side of the table ‘with an arm over your shoulder’ and I will take the time to learn what is important to you and understand your values.
