There are so many charities in need. Most people are feeling the pinch one way or another. Giving money to charities is a now a considered action. Speaking recently to My Sisters’ House, Cancerwise in Chichester and having a meeting with V2 Radio, who plan many charitable campaigns for the local community, one thing is very apparent; donating goods rather than money seems to be a great way forward.
With this in mind, we followed up by My Sisters’ House after their last appeal for help.
Based in Bognor Regis, My Sisters’ House is a Women’s Centre working across the coastal area of West Sussex. This wonderful charity provides a range of support for women of all different backgrounds, facing all kinds of issues.
The team’s vision is that no woman within the community should experience poverty, abuse, suffer with their mental health or be held back through other disadvantages. The main aim is to give them the tools and encouragement to live a healthy life and live to their full potential.
We spoke to Michelle Sinclair, Fundraising and Supporter Engagement Co-ordinator for the charity to find out what they needed in terms of goods and how we could help. Cathedral Wealth Management organised a delivery of deodorants, sanitary products and nappies to help the women using the service.
